How To Jump Higher Fast

For those of us who are super achievers, we don’t have the time to waste on extra workouts and things that take too long. We want to know how to jump higher fast, and that means this week, if not now. Well there are a few things on how to jump higher fast as if you can get the technique down.

This is how it works, if you don’t want to do workouts, then this is what you need to know. When jumping, you get most of the power out of your legs, but specifically your butt. That is where the power is. And if you can use your butt more than your legs, you will get more power. So when you squat down to jump, focus on pushing your body and the power through the floor. This will give you the most force since we know that we will get an equal and opposite reaction from that downward force.

Also, keep your technique correct. When you jump, you don’t want to waste any of the energy, so keep your body stiff and tall. That means the power starts in your feet then legs then hips then shoulders and then your head. So for the best results you will need to line them up at takeoff. You can know that you didn’t when you move forward or backwards on a standing jump. That means more force went a different direction than straight up. Practice this by having a friend watch you and your body should be in a straight line at the time of takeoff.

And the next point will help a lot as well to jump higher fast.

Use your arms effectively. There is also a right and a wrong way to use your arms, but most jumpers are good somewhere in the middle, so they don’t use them effectively enough. The key is to time them with your jump, don’t be afraid of using your arms with big swings as counter-weights to throw your body up.

During the early olympic games, for the long jump, the Greeks would have weights in both hands and swing them out in front of them to get further. And it worked too, because all of that extra force going forward would pull them in that direction. That is what you are going to do with your arms (only without the weight). But use them in the same way, and don’t be afraid to grab a set of light weights so you can feel how it works. When you do use weights, you will feel when you are doing them right and when the timing is off. Make sure to focus on the timing, because that is how you can use your arms effectively if you are looking how to jump higher faster.
