How to Jump Start Workouts for Weight Loss

Find how to jump start workouts for weight loss can be the toughest thing when you first start out because that initial start is the hardest. But there are ways to jump start your workouts and these are some of the ways that have helped me and my athletes to increase their vertical with their jumping workouts.

How to Jump Start Workouts for Weight Loss

  • Have an Inspiring Goal. If your goal is something that you can really be inspired over, then you will want to do it. There is a difference between waking up just to work out and waking up in order to lose 20 pounds before Spring Break. If that is your goal, you will know specifically what your goal is and have a time limit.
  • Get a Friend to Do It With You. By having someone else to push you, then you are more likely to not let them down. But make sure that they want the weight loss as much or more than you do. If you have to push them, it won’t be as easy if they are pushing you. And don’t be afraid to make it competitive. Put a bet on it. I’ve been able to get myself to work out every day because my friend and I have decided that for every day that we miss a workout, we owe a dollar to the other person. So if we workout each and every day, we are fine, but if not, we owe them.
  • Make it Fun. No one wants to do something that isn’t fun. So how can you make jump starting your workout fun? I mentioned competition, which can help, or make it a group project. Get a bunch of your friends together to workout. Or make the workout more enjoyable by making it a race to finish first. Workouts don’t have to be long, the more you get done more quickly, the more calories and fat you will burn.
