How to Jump Higher and Dunk
For a lot of people (like me) it isn’t enough to just jump higher, I want to jump higher and dunk, and to do it well so that people are amazed and stunned by what I can do by jumping higher. There are few things cooler than being able to jump higher, dunk, and hear the crowd. So you want to know how to do it? It isn’t too hard.
First, you need to realize that it will take some work, if you are committed to it. So don’t give up like most people will.
Next, you will need some jumping workouts that will effectively help you to jump higher to dunk. That means some jumping exercises that are quick, explosive, and focused completely on jumping. That means no squats or other typical leg exercises that won’t get you to jump higher.
After that, make sure that you are doing your workouts consistently, because if you don’t, then you will not continue to build the right jumping muscles, and you will only exercise once in a while. So make sure to work out these muscles often, I like 3-5 times per week focused on jumping, on top of the days that you are playing basketball.
But make sure to give yourself a break once in a while so that your muscles can rest. And make sure to stretch because stretching will give your muscles the ability to gain a ton more power and strength after a workout. This is key if you really want to jump higher and dunk.
On top of that, palming a ball is the next most important thing. You can strengthen your fingers by practicing palming a ball. Just like anything, make sure to do this consistently in order to see results. I usually throw this in after my workouts so that I don’t forget to do this. This will help you to dunk without needing to use two hands, which will cut off quite a few inches for you to dunk and get you there quicker.
