Be careful of any plan that promises you to jump higher for free. Most likely they are trying to sell you something. And I’ll clear the air right now in telling you that I’ve found the Jump Manual to be the best way to jump higher, and it does cost, but this page is all about ways to jump higher for free, so don’t worry, I won’t sell you on anything.
First, jumping workouts should be the easiest, free way to start your plan to increase your vertical. You can find tons of jump workouts and jump exercises around the internet, but to break them down, you need a couple solid exercises like jump rope, box jumps, squat jumps, with a few more. And you need to perform these exercises every day for a couple weeks.
The more the better, but keep your workout short since you want very little rest and very explosive movements. This will get the most results.
Also, we all know that there are shoes to help you jump higher. The best ones are jump soles but you don’t have to spend the money on those either. I found this video on youtube which will allow you the same effect of the jump soles.
The other ways to jump higher for free are by playing more basketball. It sounds simple, because it is. In order to improve, you need to play more, and the best way to help your vertical jump is by doing more of the same. The first time I dunked was after I was playing basketball at least twice a day for 2 weeks straight. And at least every few days there would be a competition to see who could jump higher and throw down a dunk or not.
That will increase your vertical more than anything. And it doesn’t cost anything except some friends and some shoes.
