Jumping Exercises for Basketball
Jumping is the most crucial athletic part of basketball, you only don’t need to jump if you are Yao Ming or someone just as tall. And even then, you could be a much better player if you can quickly move around the court so that you will out-jump and out-sprint your competition.

The first thing to know is that by building your fast twitch muscles will let you move quickly in order to spring as well as jump quicker and higher than anyone else. So this will help you to be so much more quicker and be able to beat your competition at the same time.
So what do you need? You need these jumping exercises for basketball.
Jumping Cones Plyometric Drills. This is an easy drill to set up, and you can perform it in a lot of different ways. First, set up the cones in a line with enough space in between them so that you can easily land in between them. Then start at one end of the cones and jump with both feet over each of them in a row. Do about 15 of these jumps, then jump over them with only one foot, then switch back to the other foot.
High Jumps. This is an easy one to do against the gym wall or by using the backboard. Pick a spot on the wall that you can jump up and touch. Then jump up and touch it with your hand, and when you land, instantly jump back up in the air to reach for it again. Repeat 15 times. This will teach you to jump repeatedly and to stretch your jump out so that you start to jump higher.
