Where Should I Learn to get Jumping Higher
When I started looking for how to start jumping higher, I had no idea where to start, and that is a problem for most athletes. Not knowing where to go for information can be the biggest obstacle to reaching your goals. But I found answers in some of the strangest places, but I’m glad I did.
I first went to my basketball head coach and assistant coaches, and although they know a lot, they weren’t too much help with jumping higher. So I kept asking around. The people I worked out with weren’t much help either since they were more interested in getting bigger muscles, not actually jumping higher.
I actually found a lot of great information from my track coach, which was a surprise but made perfect sense. Track is about explosive movements, sprinting, jumping and throwing. I learned about muscles and plyometric training and different ways to train. Ever since then, I’ve been doing track workouts as part of my training to improve my vertical jump and my quickness and speed.
Those track workouts were great, but they still didn’t maximize my ability for jumping higher until I found jump higher programs which focus on the ability to jump higher. With those I could really focus on the right jumping workouts as well as technique. That was exactly what I needed in order to get moving from small improvement to massive gains.
So check into that, see if your track or basketball coach can give you some help with plyometric training or other things besides simply exercising since you need more.
